Majora's Mask Crooked Cartridge - 60Hz for PAL
- Turn on the game.
- Press Start twice to get to the File Select Screen.
- As soon as the file select screen begins to fade in (before any music starts playing), perform the Crooked Cartridge trick.
If done correctly the game will switch to 60Hz mode, but will play no sounds or music.
If you want to try and play in 60Hz with sound, use this method:
- As Deku Link, go somewhere and run around.
- While running around, do the Crooked Cartridge trick.
Very very rarely this will cause the game to start running at 60Hz, instead of the usual PAL 50Hz.
The game will now run 17% faster, and if you have an older, non NTSC-compatible TV, the screen picture will start to flicker very badly. The game works perfectly fine apart from those things. To return it to PAL signal, turn the N64 off then on again.
Also, almost all the time when the game crashes, for whatever reason, the signal will change to 60Hz.
