Requirements

  • Haven't yet obtained the Slingshot
  • Enough Rupees to play the Shooting Gallery

Instructions

  1. Perform one of the Forest Escapes.
  2. Head for the Shooting Gallery in the Market, then pay to play the minigame.
  3. Win the minigame with a perfect score. You'll receive the Biggest Bullet Bag as your prize.
  4. Return to the forest and get the Slingshot as you would normally.

Result

Your Biggest Bullet Bag will have been downgraded to the default Bullet Bag that comes with the Slingshot. If you then return to the Shooting Gallery and get a perfect score again, the game will reward you with a purple Rupee since it already awarded you with its Bullet Bag upgrade. This will render your Bullet Bag unable to again reach its maximum capacity, as you'll be stuck with only the Big Bullet Bag (obtained in the Lost Woods) as the only usable upgrade.

Notes

The fact that the Shooting Gallery gives out the Biggest Bullet Bag if you get a perfect score without a Slingshot on hand is due to the Shooting Gallery's child-era prize table not taking into mind any possibility of the player not having a Slingshot. This is due to the player being required to obtain the Slingshot before they can reach the Shooting Gallery under normal circumstances (unlike in the adult era, where that era's Shooting Gallery prize table does account for the player possibly not having the Fairy Bow).
