More Complexity Behind Version Types?

I was doing some testing on the Link's Awakening Miscellaneous Glitches - No Fishing glitch, and found that I couldn't do it on my hard copy of the B&W version, on a GBA. I downloaded the version 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 ROMs, and tried the glitch on all three. It only worked in 1.0. Given that there seems to be more differentiation between the versions of the game than B&W vs. DX, I think we should add more detail to the versions guide, as well as edit the version template that appears on the glitch pages themselves. I'm going to go ahead and add the bit about the three versions now, at least, the little, pathetic bit I have figured out. Could someone take a look and either fix as they see fit, or give me feedback? --Juxtapose 07:51, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi! I was aware of that but I didn't know how it would be carried out. AFAIK there is a 1.0-1.2 for B&W and for DX. I'm not too sure on the differences between 1.0-1.2 on both games. But the edit on the version page is a good start.--Death99 12:38, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Version Differences

I'm going to ask about this once again. But does anyone have the slightest clue of any differences between B&W 1.1-1.2? And or DX 1.0-1.2? death99 14:39, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Text differences

I have found all the mentioned games on some places all over the internet, but there is still a difference between what I have and what is written here: in the games I have, the word "the" in the beginning's dialog has been added before "back" only in DX 1.2, and not in B&W 1.2. It contradicts with what is written here. -- Morwenn 13:08, 20 July 2013

6 versions? More like 20

I wrote a full article about the different Game Boy (Color) revisions of Link's Awakening, and found that there were roughly 20 of them (6 English revisions). And I am not even talking about the 3DS revisions since I have no clue about the number of version; the only sure thing is that they are also different. Some bugs may have been fixed/added in the 3DS revisions. Therefore, tracking bugs through the revisions may be harder than one can think. I am not an avid ZeldaChaos user, so I will let you decide whether you want to dive in this madness or not. Enjoy! :) -- Morwenn 19:32, 1 May 2014
