This was pretty much the final game, the control style is the same as
the final one except that the 'A' and 'B' buttons have switched roles.
Although
quite a lot of stuff was still being changed it was mostly minor, the
story had been finalised and most things were probably just being tested
to make sure they worked properly.

The
mysterious road, part of Lon-Lon Ranch? I suppose we'll never know.
I can't think of any purpose an infinitely long road would serve,
but I suppose it must have had one.
Some people speculate that this may have been an early version of Hyrule field. |

Link
has a smaller than normal magic meter too. |

This
appears to be Lake Hylia. |

Although
this looks more like the bottom of the well, I think it's actually
the room above the one where you fight King Dodongo.
The chest would have the bombs in it and that brown patch on the
floor looks just like something that should be bombed, but, who
really knows?

The
"Unicorn Fountain".
Personally, I think this is just what the Great Fairy fountains
used to look like, it's got the falling water walls, the stone tiled
entrance, the Triforce symbol to play Zelda's lullaby next to, it's
got the white sand and it even has the little pond of water in the
middle.

 |
It's
possible that this was a special Fairy Fountain, perhaps even the
one where you received the blade beam attack. |

A
Redead in one of the graves in the graveyard, from memory that chest
has a Hylian shield in it, but in the final version it's a small chest
and I don't think the Redead is there. |

The

This
is obviously Zora's Domain, but where has Link just come from? He
seems to be coming out of the ceiling... but those are ripples at
the bottom of the screen, the waterfall must have been huge. |

A
deserted looking Zora's Domain.
That white thing beyond Link might be a Zora.
The layout of this place certainly looks very different.
