Instructions

1. Load up your game(tested on file 1) as adult link and equip the sword you want to start with.
2. Get onto Epona and save and quit your game while still on her.
3. Create and load a new save game (tested on file 2).

Result

You will be equipped with the sword from your original game. Notice that the game doesn't register the weapon you have equipped in the gear menu.
