Glitch Generator

Might want to give you this heads-up now, but there are a few things that'll need to be added come time to update the generator. In addition to the obvious Skyward Sword update (currently three parameters, JPN-USA-PAL):

  • Adventure of Link now uses a glitch header. The four parameters are FDS-NES-GCN-GBA.
  • There is now an additional version for Four Swords. The new fourth parameter is DSi.
  • The two Tingle spin-offs also have glitch headers (neither are currently listed in the generator). Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland has two parameters, JPN-PAL; Color Changing Tingle’s Love Balloon Trip has only one parameter, JPN.

Don't really want to rush you or anything. Take your time, just giving you a heads-up on all of the glitch headers (even though, of the five games mentioned, only Adventure of Link even has any glitch pages currently)...--Pikachu 11:39, 9 November 2011 (CST)

Hey there! Thank you for that information, just updated it with this information you gave me :). --death99 12:26, 10 November 2011 (CST)

Glitch generator still not fixed

I'm sorry to bother you, but the glitch generator still doesn't show the Korean version of SS. This shouldn't be too hard to fix, will it? Thank you! Thezeldageek 06:08, 4 February 2012 (CST)

Not at all. I just fixed this. Thanks for the heads up :). death99 17:01, 4 February 2012 (CST)

Question

How do you become a trusted user? Just kind of wondering. Thezeldageek 06:14, 4 February 2012 (CST)

It's kinda a period thing and it's based on your edits. Basically, if you make legit edits *AND* have been around for a certain period of time, you can become one. (Some people that aren't trusted and meet this criteria probably should be in there but I'm too lazy to deal with that right now.) death99 17:01, 4 February 2012 (CST)

Zelda Chaos News

I feel like Zelda Chaos News isn't updated enough. If you look at Zelda Wiki's news is split into two parts: news about the wiki itself and news about the game. We don't need as big of a news thing, but I think it could be a little bigger than it is now. What do you think? SLogan (talk) 06:03, 16 June 2012 (CDT)

I don't mind your suggestion; however, what kind of other news could we possibly have? death99 (talk) 18:21, 17 June 2012 (CDT)
I was thinking like huge important things. No fan artwork or anything. For example: Nintendo is debating about doing a Majora's Mask remake or Link to the past sequel for the 3DS. I feel that by updating news more often our small community would continue in this dead time between games. SLogan (talk) 21:23, 17 June 2012 (CDT)
I think this is a good idea, SLogan. I agree that there is very little new displayed, but you can find most of the frequent Nintendo news in the forums, like when the Wii U came out, so you can go to the forums for most of the news. Glitching Legacy (talk) 22:07, 17 December 2013 (EST)

Upload Multiple Files?

Hi, Since the wiki crashed, I have seen no option anywhere to "Upload Multiple Files". It used to be in the sidebar, and I think there was a link on the "Upload File" page. Am I just being nooby and cannot remember where it is, or is this a feature that was added in the crash window, and has since disappeared? Curly (talk) 12:16, 19 July 2012 (CDT)

Whoops, I forgot to re-enable it. It should be back now. death99 (talk) 11:17, 22 July 2012 (CDT)
Thanks! Also, that navbox/bar edit has made my templates much better! They're much more compact now. Curly (talk) 13:39, 22 July 2012 (CDT)

Glitch Generator not working

I was just trying to post a glitch, and when I went on the glitch generator, it just said "Error on line 15" or something like that. As far as I know, you coded it, so could you look into it? Thanks SLogan (talk) 20:53, 21 December 2012 (CST)

Should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know! Death99 (talk) 21:02, 21 December 2012 (CST)
Thanks, but a bit too late. Just made my first glitch page manually. God, what would we do without the Glitch Genorator? Spend a lot more time editing, that's for sure. SLogan (talk) 21:16, 21 December 2012 (CST)

Welcome to Zelda Chaos

Well, howdy Xen, nice to meet you ;-) - Zafum (talk) 12:19, 21 January 2013 (EST)

Nice to meet you too! :) - Xen (talk) 14:43, 21 January 2013 (EST)

Default Skin

Hey Xen, you think its about time for us to change the default skin to Vector, rather than monobook? I think it looks a little cleaner, and has less compatibility issues with certain browsers. We still need a Zelda Chaos theme eventually, though. - Zafum (talk) 00:44, 1 March 2013 (EST)

Hi there Zafum! You bring up a good point and I'll do that right now. As for the ZeldaChaos theme, the only thing stopping me from working on it further is the Main Page and glitch headers. Unfortunately, they look terrible on a dark background and look great on a white background such as Monobook and Vector. Xen (talk) 11:36, 1 March 2013 (EST)

Twilight Princess Theory Thingy

Alright, thanks! Highly appreciated! I wish I had the GC version mainly for the Gale Long Jump Attack, though, which is impossible on the Wii version. :( Glitching Legacy (talk) 13:51, 11 March 2013 (EDT)

Glitch generator bug

Sorry to bother you like this, but i noticed a bug in your glitch generator; If you create a glitch page whose glitch works with the 3ds version, it directly says that the glitch works for MQ. This can be very annoying if you are posting a page about a 3ds-only glitch. Other than that, its awesome!

Thanks for letting me know! Should be fixed now. Xen (talk) 18:50, 7 September 2013 (EDT)

Glitch gen. Again

Sorry if I'm bothering you, but the glitch generator still misses the new game, when are you planning to add this? or did you forgot??Please apply it to the V2 generator too please.Miven (talk) 18:17, 9 November 2013 (EST)

No worries, you aren't bothering me at all :). Thanks for the heads up. I was planning on adding those to both versions today, but got busy with some school work. It should be added either tonight or tomorrow. Xen (talk) 18:21, 9 November 2013 (EST)

I have an Idea

What SLogan mentioned about the news in June, 2012, about our small community being able to continue adding glitches in between games' releases is a good idea, but I don't think adding more new will change this. I think we should add a theories section of ZC, a place where users can glitch theories that need testing. Theories could be posted the same way that one posts glitches. This way, users can go in and test some theories and they might turn out to be a glitch. For crediting the correct people for the discovery of the glitch, the credit should go to the person who came up with the theory AND the person who had proven it possible. I would be very active in that area, for example right now, I don't have any glitches to add here, so I hardly have anything to do, but I am also a Zelda glitch theorist, so I have a few good theories for glitches. You can see my Twilight Princess theories in the forums. I just figure that since the forums are even less active than ZC is, that we should add this section outside of the forums so that it gets a bit more publicity. Tell me what you think. Mistake in Wind Waker Beta Page...?

I noticed that on the home page, the news is that the Wind Waker Beta Page is "almost complete." Well, I went to look at it and I realized that the last section, the AR areas page, wasn't created, but it hasn't been created for a few months now, so I've just been wondering when or if it will. Did somebody just forget? In any case, can someone please create the AR page to complete the Wind Waker Beta page? EDIT: Another thing I just remembered on the home page is that A Link Between Worlds isn't on there, it's only in the glitch sidebar. Think you can add it next to Skyward Sword on the home page? Glitching Legacy (talk) 22:35, 17 December 2013 (EST)

Promotion...?

Hey Xen, do you think you can promote me to an admin? If you look at the "Active Users List" you will see that I have made the most edits and I LOVE to edit this site. It's just that I think I can be a better help if I can help edit the main page and other things that only admins can edit. I would edit the news much more often! Thanks in advance! Glitching Legacy (talk) 23:21, 20 December 2013 (EST)

Hi there Glitching Legacy. I appreciate your edits and help, but at this time I don't feel like any more admins/mods are necessary right now due to the low traffic state of this wiki. If there is much more traffic/visitors in the future, then it could be a possibility. If you want to edit the main page and other restricted pages, either use the test pages/sandboxes, or write down what you want to change so it can happen (provided it's reasonable and necessary).
